Breck Girls Hockey Beats Warroad to Capture State Title
Mackenna Schliemann scored two goals and added an assist to help lead the Breck girls hockey team to a 4-1 win over Warroad in the Class A girls hockey championship game.
Mustangs’ goalie Clara Mlinkovich made 37 saves to help backstop the team to the fifth state championship in program history and the first since 2020.
Molly Larson and Ashley Babbitt also scored for Breck.
The Mustangs finished the season with a record of 28-1-1.
Warroad handed Breck their only loss of the season in early December.
