Breck Girls Hockey Beats Holy Angels to Advance in Section Tournament
The Breck girls hockey team advanced in the Section 5A tournament with a 5-1 win over Holy Angels in a quarterfinal round game.
The Mustangs took a 1-0 lead after one period and then added two goals in the second and two more in the third period.
Josie Lang had two goals for Breck. Ava Lindsay had a goal and three assists and Sadie Lindsay had a goal and two assists.
The win broke an eight-game losing streak for the Mustangs, although most of those games were against very strong competition.
Breck now meets top seed Chisago Lakes in the Section 5A semifinals Thursday.
