Breck Football’s Season Ends With Loss to P-E-M
The Breck football team saw its season end with a 37-14 loss to Plainview-Elgin-Millville in the state Class 3A quarterfinals.
Trailing 14-0 after a quarter the Mustangs cut the lead in half when Charlie Ryks intercepted a Bulldogs’ pass and returned it twenty yards for a touchdown.
But P-E-M added two touchdowns before halftime to lead 28-7. Connor McGuire threw two touchdown passes in the game and ran for another score while Jason Feils caught both TD passes from McGuire.
Breck (6-5) was limited to under 200 yards of offense in the game.
Plainview-Elgin-Millville (10-2) now faces Annandale in the state semifinals Saturday at U.S. Bank Stadium.
