Breck Football Enters New Era with New Head Coach
The Breck football team starts the 2025 season with a new head coach and mostly new coaching staff.
Christian Rund takes over as the Mustangs’ head coach after spending the past three seasons as an assistant coach and offensive coordinator at Minneapolis Washburn. The South St. Paul native is excited by the challenge of helping the team post its first winning record in four years.
The Mustangs feature five senior captains- running back Alex Averbook, quarterback John Henry Bernsten, linebacker and tight end Oliver Kuhn, linebacker Danny Paster, and wide receiver CJ Roberts.
Kuhn and Paster were the leading tacklers a year ago while Roberts was the team’s leading receiver in 2024.
Breck opens the season Thursday night at St. Harding/Humboldt.
