Breck Football Edges Brooklyn Center
The Breck football team scored its fifth win of the season, edging Brooklyn Center 18-12.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Mustangs scored first on a 45-yard interception return for a touchdown by Oliver Kuhn in the second quarter.
John Henry Berntsen later threw a 53-yard touchdown pass to CJ Roberts to put the Mustangs ahead 12-0.
Brooklyn Center then scored on a 25-yard touchdown run by Alpha Meaway. The Centaurs’ sophomore back finished the game with 170 yards rushing on 17 carries.
Breck got two field goals from Elan Choudry and led 18-6 in the fourth quarter when Brooklyn Center’s Trevant Meeks scored on a two-yard run to cap the scoring.
The Mustangs are now 5-1 while the Centaurs are 3-3.
