Breck Boys Soccer Back at State Tournament for First Time Since 2015
For the first time since 2015, the Breck boys soccer team will be playing in a MSHSL state tournament game after they defeated Southwest Christian 1-0 in the Section 6A championship.
The Mustangs won their section title in 2020, but there was no state tournament due to COVID.
Breck made changes to both their mentality and playing style halfway through the season and it paid off, as the Mustangs won five of their last seven matches.
The Mustangs drew Pine Island/Zumbrota-Mazeppa in the quarterfinal round of the Class A state tournament and will take on the Wildcats Thursday at 7:30 PM at Eden Prairie High School.
