Breck Boys Basketball Rolls Past Montevideo in AA State Quarterfinals
The Breck boys basketball team rolled past Montevideo 73-49 in the Class AA state quarterfinals Tuesday night.
The Mustangs shot 50% from the field and forced 25 turnovers, moving one step closer to making it back to the state championship game.
Four Mustangs scored in double figures, led by Waleed Muhammad’s 18 points.
Miles Newton posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Both JP Musoke and Ayden Green each added 10 points.
Breck won their first ever boys basketball state title last year.
The Mustangs now play Waseca on Friday night in the semifinals.
