Breck Boys Basketball Pulls Away to Beat Maranatha Christian Academy
The Breck boys basketball team closed the regular season in style Monday, beating Maranatha Christian Academy 102-85.
Breck is ranked number one in class AA and finished the regular season 25-1.
Maranatha is also having a strong season, but dropped to 19-6.
Mr. Basketball finalist Daniel Freitag scored 42 points to lead the charge for Breck.
Miles Newton added 21 for Breck.
DaTrell McCrimmon had 28 points to lead Maranatha, with Gresyn Rennie scoring 22.
Both teams will compete in the Section 5AA tournament, where Breck figures to be the top seed.
