Breck/Blake Wins 7th Straight State Swim Title
The Breck/Blake boys swimming and diving team won its seventh straight state Class A championship Saturday, finishing well ahead of runner-up St. Thomas Academy and the rest of the field.
The Bearstangs won nine of 12 events on their way to scoring 408 points, double that of the second-place Cadets (204).
Charlie Egeland, headed to Yale University next year, won both the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard breaststroke.
Jack Schurtz-Ford, who will swim at Colgate in college, was a champion in the 100-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke.
Breck/Blake also won all three relay races.
