Breck Baseball Advances to Section Final With 4-1 Win
The Breck baseball team secured a spot in the Section 5AA championship game with a 4-1 win over Southwest Christian.
Colin Mitchell threw a complete game for the Mustangs, allowing just three strikeouts while striking out nine.
Max Aronson drove in a run in the sixth inning with a double scoring Liam Cavanaugh.
Breck’s other runs came on a throwing error, a wild pitch and a delayed steal of home by Aronson.
Breck (14-8) plays the winner of Tuesday’s Rockford vs. Southwest Christian game on Thursday afternoon at Fritz Field in Cologne.
