Big Boys, Big Expectations at Maple Grove
The Maple Grove boys basketball team will have more size this season and will aim to play in the paint and rely less on the three-pointer.
Last year’s team rode good long range shooting to the Section 8AAAA title but missed out on the state tournament when the season was shut down due to the pandemic.
This year’s players know they’re lucky to be back and have high hopes of getting to play in the 2021 state tournament.
Senior Caden Boettcher and junior Jon Haakenson are returning starters.
