Benilde-St. Margaret’s Girls Volleyball Sweeps Grand Rapids in State Quarterfinals
The Benilde-St. Margaret’s girls volleyball team won its state tournament opener Wednesday, sweeping Grand Rapids in the Class AAA quarterfinals.
The Red Knights won 25-17, 25-20 and 26-24.
Sailor Friedly led the Red Knights with 15 kills while Avery Minor added 13 and Brooke Kinkead 10.
Benilde-St. Margaret’s (27-5) is the second seed in the tournament behind Marshall.
The Red Knights play third-seeded Stewartville in the semifinals Friday morning at 11:00 at Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul.
