Benilde-St. Margaret’s Girls Hockey Loses Season Opener to Andover
The Benilde-St. Margaret’s girls hockey team didn’t get to ease into the 2022-23 season.
The Red Knights faced defending state class AA champion Andover Thursday and lost 7-0 to the Huskies.
BSM won 20 games last season and reached the Section 6AA final, but they were overmatched against an Andover squad that was 30-0 last winter.
The Huskies scored four times in the first period on the way to the win.
Nora Sauer and Ella Boerger each had two goals and an assist for the Huskies.
Andover outshot Benilde 30-7 for the game.
