Benilde-St. Margaret’s Girls Hockey Advances to 6AA Final with Win over Wayzata
The Benilde-St. Margaret’s girls hockey team knocked off Wayzata 6-2 in the Section 6AA semifinals to advance to their second straight final.
The Red Knights had six different players score goals on Wednesday night.
Lulu Rucinski led the way with a goal and three assists.
Wayzata earned goals from Ava Molde and Julia Ostapeic in the third period, but saw their season come to an end with a 12-15 record.
Benilde-St. Margaret’s will face Edina in the Section 6AA final on Friday night.
It’s a rematch of last year’s final. Edina won that game by a score of 5-4 on their way to a class AA state championship.
