Benilde-St. Margaret’s Boys Hockey Primed for Section Final
The Benilde-St. Margaret’s boys hockey team is one win away from a state tournament berth.
The Red Knights, ranked third in Class AA, face Edina in the Section 6AA final Wednesday night at Bloomington Ice Garden.
B-SM (22-5-0) is the top seed in the section tournament and beat Edina 5-2 in the regular season.
The Hornets (19-8-0) eliminated Wayzata 1-0 in overtime in the semifinals.
Benilde, a winner over Blake in the semis, is looking for its first trip to the state tournament since winning the Class AA title in 2012.
