Benilde-St. Margaret’s Boys Hockey Loses on OT Penalty Shot
The Benilde-St. Margaret’s boys hockey team lost to Blake 4-3 on an overtime penalty shot in the Section 6AA final.
Blake’s Gavin Best was hauled down on a breakaway and the Bears were awarded a penalty shot.
Best converted to send the Bears to their first state tournament since opting up to Class AA.
Blake scored the lone goal of the first period, with BSM netting three in the second to go up 3-2.
Blake tied the game early in the third period, setting up the dramatic ending.
