Benilde-St. Margaret’s Boys Hockey Jumps Over Andover Early in 4-2 Win
The Benilde-St. Margaret’s boys hockey team stayed unbeaten on the season with a 4-2 win over Andover on Tuesday.
he Red Knights got after the Huskies early and often, scoring three goals in the first period.
Benjamin Norris tipped in a shot from Carter Callan just three minutes into the game to put B-SM in front.
Then Nik Wahlstrom scored after he dumped a puck in the zone and it caromed off the glass and deflected off Huskie goaltender Cash Cruitt’s back leg, and into the net.
Westan Quirk’s top shelf one-on-one finish was the third goal scored in the opening period for the Red Knights.
In the second period Dylan Popehn fed a pass to Caleb Koskie, who scored on a one-timer.
Andover was able to score two goals in the third, but that was as close as the Huskies would get.
Benilde-St. Margaret’s improves to 3-0 on the season with the win.
