Benilde-St. Margaret’s Baseball Falls Just Short in Final
The Benilde-St. Margaret’s baseball team fell just short in the state class AAA final.
After a lengthy rain delay, the Red Knights lost 1-0 to St. Thomas Academy.
Benilde’s Blake Mahmood pitched a two-hitter with nine strikeouts in the loss.
Duke Coborn of St. Thomas Academy threw a shutout with nine strikeouts.
The Red Knights had two baserunners thrown out at home plate, including one in the sixth inning.
