Balanced Breck Boys Basketball off to Perfect 8-0 Start
The Breck boys basketball team is off to an unbeaten 8-0 record and is ranked number one in the state in Class AA.
The Mustangs are one of twelve teams in the state without a loss yet this season and they’re the only team out of those twelve that has five players scoring in double figures.
Breck added 3-star transfer point guard and University of Wisconsin commit, Daniel Freitag in the offseason. He’s led the way averaging just under 17 points per game, but Miles Newton (15.8 ppg.), JP Musoke (13.0 ppg.), Hanif Muhammad (12.9 ppg.), and DeAngelo Dungey (11.1 ppg.) have all added to the Mustang offense that is averaging 83 points per game.
Breck is hoping to make it to the Class AA state tournament for the first time since 2006. The Mustangs have never won a state championship in their boys’ basketball program history.
