B-SM Girls Basketball Win Fourth Straight State Title
Sydney Friedly scored 24 points to help lead the Benilde-St. Margaret’s girls basketball team to a 75-63 win over Stewartville in the Class AAA state title game.
Friedly was one of four Red Knight players to score in double figures. Zaida Jenkins scored 16, Alivia Bell 12, and Mirabel Wismer 11. Wismer also grabbed a team-high 14 rebounds.
The championship was the fourth straight for Benilde-St. Margaret’s. The Red Knights finished with a record of 26-3.
The Tigers (29-2), the top-seeded team in the AAA tournament, was led in scoring by sisters Audrey Shindelar (29 points) and Danika Shindelar (16).
