Armstrong girls, Wayzata boys win section Nordic titles
It’s one of the tougher sections for Nordic skiers, and two programs from the northwest suburbs did very well once again.
Armstrong’s girls team won the Section 6 title Monday, finishing 10 points ahead of Wayzata. Both teams advanced to state.
Mara McCollor of Wayzata won the individual pursuit title, with Luci Anderson of Armstrong second.
On the boys side, top ranked Wayzata won the title with Armstrong also advancing as the runnerup. Anders Sonnesyn of Wayzata won the boys individual title with teammate Luc Golin second.
