Armstrong girls, boys win NWSC Nordic titles
Sunny skies and temperatures in the high 20s greeted Nordic skiers in the Northwest Suburban Conference Wednesday. A little fresh snow overnight made the course a little slow to start, but local athletes and teams did very well.
Armstrong captured the girls and boys team titles. The Falcons’ Luci Anderson won the girls title, with Leah Rudd third and Mae Barnes fourth for Armstrong.
The Armstrong boys had six skiers in the top 14 to win the team title. Will Omodt in fourth was the top individual for the Falcons. The Champlin Park boys took third place.
Armstrong competes in the Section 6 meet at Theordore Wirth on Monday.
Champlin Park, Osseo, Maple Grove, and Park Center will ski at the Section 5 meet next Wednesday, also at Wirth.
