Armstrong Girls Basketball Rallies Past Kennedy
The Armstrong girls basketball team trailed at halftime but rallied past Bloomington Kennedy for a 51-42 win Thursday.
It was the home opener for Armstrong.
Kennedy built a double digit lead in the first half before Armstrong closed to within 27-21 at halftime.
They kept the momentum to start the second half, quickly surging into the lead.
The Falcons held Kennedy to 15 points in the second half to secure the win.
Peyton Erickson scored 11 points to lead a balanced Armstrong attack. Emalee Fisher had 9, Ella Cooley 8 and Anna Smelser 7 for the Falcons.
Macie Miller had 16 and Hailey Williams 14 for Kennedy.
Armstrong is now 1-1 this season.
