Armstrong Girls Basketball Advances in 6AAAA Girls Basketball
The Armstrong girls basketball beat Minneapolis Southwest 57-46 Wednesday to advance to the semifinals of the Section 6AAAA tournament.
The Falcons scored the first eight points of the game and led the Lakers from start to finish.
Savannah McGowan scored 22 points and Karlee Fisher 10 to lead Armstrong in scoring. Sinae Hill scored 16 for Southwest.
Armstrong (12-15) plays at top-seeded and top-ranked Hopkins (21-1) in the section semifinals Saturday at 12 noon at the Lindbergh Center.
Wayzata hosts St. Louis Park in the other semifinal.
