Armstrong Football Returns to State Playoffs
The Armstrong football team is back in the state class AAAAA playoffs for a second straight season.
The Falcons pulled away in the second half to beat Cooper 49-14 in the Section 5AAAAA championship game last Friday.
Now they face a big test in the state quarterfinals Saturday.
The Falcons take on Section 7AAAAA champion Andover, a team that beat Armstrong 42-7 in the last regular season game.
Armstrong will have 1,500 yard rusher Kevon Johnson for this game; he missed the regular season contest with Andover with an injury.
The Falcons and Huskies play at noon Saturday at Osseo High School.
