Armstrong/Cooper Girls Hockey Skates to 5-5 Tie vs. Buffalo
The Armstrong/Cooper girls’ hockey team tied Buffalo in a high-scoring 5-5 tie.
Buffalo scored two quick goals early in the first, but the Wings scored three unanswered goals, one from Avery Johnson and two from Ruby Monogue to take the lead.
Buffalo tied it back up to start the second and A/C got their long goal in the second from Stellie LeMieux to take the lead back before the Bison tied it once more.
In the third, Buffalo scored first to go in front 5-4, but Claire Riestenberg tied the game again with a short-handed goal.
Neither team scored the rest of the way in the third period or in overtime, ending the game in a 5-5 tie.
The Wings are now 3-1-1 on the season; Buffalo is 1-3-1.
