Armstrong-Cooper Girls Hockey Loses to Blake in Section 6AA Tournament
The Armstrong-Cooper girls hockey team was eliminated by Blake 5-0 in the Section 6AA quarterfinals Saturday.
The Wings kept it close for two periods, and trailed just 1-0 entering the third.
The Bears scored twice in the first minute of the third and added two more goals to pull away for the win.
Suzy Higuchi scored four of the five goals for Blake.
The Bears will now meet top seed Edina in the section semifinals Wednesday.
Wayzata and Benilde-St. Margaret’s will meet in the second semifinal.
Those games are at Parade Ice Garden.
