Armstrong-Cooper Girls Hockey Loses Holiday Tournament Opener
The Armstrong-Cooper girls hockey team is hosting the 29th annual Armstrong-Cooper Holiday Classic at New Hope Ice Arena this week.
The Wings lost 5-2 to Hastings in the quarterfinals Thursday night.
After Hastings took a 2-0 lead, Claire Hanson scored from the top of the circle to pull the Wings within 2-1 after one period.
Madeline Wahl tied the game at 2-2 in the second period, but the Raiders scored twice later in the period and then netted the only goal of the third to advance to the semifinals.
The tournament wraps up Saturday.
