Armstrong-Cooper Girls Hockey Falls to Minneapolis in Section Play
The Armstrong-Cooper girls hockey team fell to Minneapolis 6-1 in the Section 5A quarterfinals Tuesday at New Hope Ice Arena.
Second seed Minneapolis scored twice in the first period, then put the game away with four more goals in the third.
Armstrong-Cooper’s Lydia College scored the only goal of the second to pull the Wings within 2-1.
Celia Midtbo had two goals and two assists for Minneapolis.
Armstrong-Cooper ended the season without a win, going 0-17-1.
The Section 5A tournament continues Thursday with semifinal games.
