Armstrong-Cooper Girls Hockey Edges Anoka in OT
The Armstrong-Cooper girls hockey team had an exciting ending to the home portion of their schedule.
The Wings edged Anoka 4-3 in overtime Thursday night.
Ruby Monogue scored on a rebound of her own shot to give the Wings the win.
It was Monogue’s second goal of the night.
Claire Riestenberg also scored a pair of goals for the Wings, who scored three times in the second period to grab a 3-1 lead after two.
The Tornadoes battled back to tie it with a pair of goals in the third to force overtime.
The win broke a four-game losing streak for Armstrong-Cooper.
The regular season wraps next weekend in girls hockey.
