Armstrong-Cooper Girls Hockey Advances in Playoffs
For the first time since 2013 the Armstrong-Cooper girls hockey team is advancing to the Section 6AA semifinals.
The Wings beat Wayzata 5-3 Saturday in the quarterfinals to extend their season.
Armstrong-Cooper netted three powerplay goals in that win, after struggling in powerplay situations during the regular season.
The Wings know they are a big underdog against top seed Blake in the semifinals, but say the pressure is off them and they’ll try to enjoy the moment.
Blake and Armstrong-Cooper play at 6:00 Wednesday at Parade Ice Garden, followed by the second semifinal matching Edina against Benilde-St. Margaret’s.
