Armstrong-Cooper Boys Hockey Team Holds off Osseo
The Armstrong-Cooper boys hockey team held off Osseo for a 6-5 win Saturday.
It was the regular season finale for both teams.
Armstrong-Cooper scored 40 seconds into the game to take a 1-0 lead.
Osseo scored the next two goals, with Jack Pojar’s breakaway goal with 11 seconds left in the first period making it 2-1.
Armstrong-Cooper scored four times in a dominant second period to take a 5-2 lead.
Penalties hurt them in the third period as Osseo scored two powerplay goals and three in all to make it interesting.
Armstrong-Cooper faces Minneapolis in the Section 2A quarterfinals Friday.
Osseo meets Centennial in the Section 5AA quarterfinals Thursday.
