Armstrong/Cooper Boys Hockey Outscores Highland Park 7-5
The Armstrong/Cooper boys hockey team scored the game’s final two goals late in the third period as the Wings beat St. Paul Highland Park 7-5 Thursday.
A/C fell behind 3-1 in the first period but scored the next four goals to lead 5-3 before the Scots came back to tie the game at 5.
Jameson Essen scored the game-winning goal for the Wings with 2:06 to play.
Essen also recorded his 100th career point in the game.
Armstrong/Cooper breaks a three-game losing streak with the win and improves its season record to 8-10-0.
