Armstrong/Cooper and Osseo Boys Hockey Skate to 4-4 Tie
The Armstrong/Cooper boys hockey team rallied from 3-0 and 4-2 deficits to tie Osseo 4-4 in Northwest Suburban Conference play Thursday night.
The Orioles took the lead on first period goals by Gaborik Olson and Luke Sawicky. Olson scored early in the second period to give Osseo a 3-0 lead before A/C mounted a comeback.
Jonathon Essen and Charlie Goergen scored for the Wings before Sawicky netted his second goal of the night to put Osseo ahead 4-2 after two periods.
Armstrong/Cooper rallied one final time on goals by Cole Majkozak and Tanner Rausch. Rausch’s goal came with just 10 seconds left in the third period. Neither team scored in overtime.
The Wings are now 5-9-2 on the season. The Orioles’ record is 1-10-2.
