Armstrong Boys Soccer Scores Late Goal to Edge Champlin Park
The Armstrong boys soccer team didn’t get a lot of scoring chances in the second half of their game against Champlin Park Wednesday, but they made the most of their opportunities.
Evan Glowna tucked in a rebound with less than 30 seconds remaining in the game to give the Falcons a 2-1 win over the Rebels.
Glowna also scored Armstrong’s first goal off a header pass from Andrew Heiden midway through the half.
After Glowna’s first goal, Champlin Park answered with a penalty kick goal by Murdoch Rothermal.
The Rebels dominated down the stretch but couldn’t put any of their chances away, leading to Armstrong’s last opportunity that started with a corner kick and ended with a celebratory pile on Glowna.
