Armstrong Baseball Shuts Out Irondale
After a tough loss to Hopkins in the season opener, the Armstrong baseball team shut out Irondale Thursday.
The Falcons won their conference opener 5-0 over the Knights.
After taking a 2-0 lead into the sixth inning, Armstrong had three consecutive run-scoring hits to stretch the lead to 5-0.
The Falcons made the most of their five hits from five different players.
Colin Spellman struck out six batters in 5 1/3 innings for the win.
