Ann’s 24 Points Leads Maple Grove Boys Basketball to Playoff Opening Win
Baboucarr Ann scored 24 points, including the 1000th of his career, to lead the Maple Grove boys basketball team to a 76-41 win over Park Center in the Section 5AAAA quarterfinals.
Maple Grove jumped out to an 18-0 lead and never led by fewer than 10 points of the rest of the night.
Max Iversen added 13 points and Henry Knutson 12 for Maple Grove.
The Crimson (21-6) are the top seed in the section and host Mounds View in a semifinal game Friday night.
Victory Famuyide led the Pirates in scoring with 11 points. Park Center finishes its season with a record of 5-20.
