Adkins Finishes as Runner-Up in Class AA Girls Tennis
Maple Grove junior Zoe Adkins lost in the championship match of the state Class AA singles girls tennis tournament.
Adkins built a 5-2 first set lead but Minnetonka’s Sarah Shahbaz rallied to win the set 7-6 and then won the second set 6-0.
In Class A, the Breck duo of Petra Lyon and Ellie Pirtle won the doubles championship.
