12 Members Inducted into First-Ever Wayzata Athletics Hall of Fame
At halftime of the Wayzata-Edina football game on Friday night, the 12 members that make up the first-ever class of the Wayzata High School Athletics Hall of Fame were recognized in front of a standing-room only crowd.
The 12 inductees include Jaime (Sanger) Cupit, James Laurinaitis, Becky (Gibbs) Lavelle, Ken Leuer, Mike Siskin, Jordan (Helgren) Jurek, Dick Beardsley, Laura Halldorson, Leslie Swiggum, Ward Schuster, Marion Barber III, and Gordy Engel.
The next Wayzata Hall of Fame class is expected to be inducted in the next two or three years.
