Woman in Wheelchair Fatally Struck in Plymouth Identified
The Minnesota State Patrol has identified the woman who was struck and killed in a crosswalk of a highway off-ramp Monday in Plymouth.
Jessica Arel, 39, of Loretto, was using a wheelchair when she was struck just before 11:10 a.m. Monday. The State Patrol says Arel was in the southbound I-494 off-ramp crosswalk near Highway 55 when she was hit by a Freightliner box truck.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the State Patrol said.
