Wayzata HS Hosts 2nd Annual Technical Career Fair
Wayzata High School hosted its second annual Career and Technical Education Career Fair on Friday.
It was an opportunity for students to interact with representatives from community colleges, businesses, trade schools and labor unions. This technical career fair offered students the opportunity to explore different options outside of a traditional, four-year university.
“And what we’re trying to do here is open doors for students — students that may realize I’m not gonna make it through, or I can’t afford a four-year college,” said Kyle Swenson, a Wayzata engineering teacher.
This year’s technical career fair also showcased careers in public safety and the culinary arts.
