Water Main Break Closes Golden Valley Businesses
A water main break at a Golden Valley shopping center has temporarily closed several businesses and caused extensive damage.
The water main break happened in a retail complex near Highway 55 and Boone Avenue. The building is home to a Which Wich sandwich shop, a Papa Murphy’s, and a Waxing the City.
A staff member from the Waxing the City location in Maple Grove says the water main break happened in mid-December.
Employees from Golden Valley’s Waxing the City location are working out of the Maple Grove office until contractors finish the repair work in Golden Valley.
The displaced employees hope to be back in their Golden Valley location by Feb. 1
