Veterans Memorial Dedicated in Maple Grove
Maple Grove now has a permanent memorial that honors those who have served our country.
The Maple Grove Veterans Memorial at Central Park was dedicated on July 14.
The memorial details the various conflicts in United States history. It dates back to the Civil War.
There’s also space to honor fallen soldiers.
The Maple Grove Beyond the Yellow Ribbon organization raised about $260,000 through donations and the sale of engraved bricks to build the memorial.
Firefighter Memorial Garden Rededicated
The Maple Grove Fire Department also held a re-dedication ceremony for their firefighter memorial garden. The garden is outside of Fire Station Two. It honors firefighters and other personnel who have passed away. The city first unveiled the garden ten years ago.
