Playground Upgrades Begin at Two Crystal Parks
Two Crystal parks are getting a facelift this spring with new playgrounds. A third park is also slated for upgrades.
Valley Place Park in Crystal will be getting a new play area, accessibility improvements to the restrooms and a trail connection between the parking lot, building and play area. A Hennepin County Youth Sports Program grant is helping to pay for the project.
Julie Cronin, who lives near Valley Place Park, couldn’t be more excited about the fresh equipment.
“The old equipment was broken and blocked off so kids couldn’t plan on it, so it’s nice to get update,” said Cronin. “We’ve lived here for 20 years so it’s nice.”
Yunkers Park will also get an updated play area soon. Bass Lake Park is on the list for improvements as well.
