Under Pressure Brewing in Golden Valley Hosts Armored Combat League
From time to time, we come across unusual events here in the northwest suburbs. One of them you’ll see periodically at Under Pressure Brewing in Golden Valley.
People put on armored suits to test their “mettle” at sword fighting. The brewery recently hosted an organized by the Twin Cities Wyverns Armored Combat League. The next competition is this Saturday, Jan. 11, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
It’s all in good fun. No one gets hurt. Even kids can put on the medieval combat gear.
Under Pressure has another unusual event coming up later this month. It plans to hold a bacon-eating contest on Saturday, Jan. 25, to raise money for the Children’s Minnesota Cancer Kids Fund.
