Two Robbinsdale Families Impacted by Devastating Fire
A fire started in a home on the 3900 block of Natureview Circle in Robbinsdale at around 10 a.m. Sunday morning.
When crews arrived, they found heavy fire and smoke coming from the house.
Firefighters from Robbinsdale and six other departments worked to suppress the fire, but due to the size and complexity, it spread to a neighboring home.
Nobody was injured, but officials from the Red Cross say they provided assistance to two families impacted by the fire.
“Two homes were affected, with one family we’re helping two adults and one child. With the other home, we’re helping another family with three adults and three children,” said Carrie Carlson-Guest a spokesperson from the Red Cross. “So seven of our Red Cross disaster responders went out, they’re volunteers, and are making sure that they’re taken care of.”
Robbinsdale’s Peace Lutheran Church has started a supply drive for the affected families. Church officials say the children are between the ages of four and ten years old.
They’re asking for donations of gift cards, clothing and toiletries. People can bring items to the church office.
