Two Hospitalized in New Hope House Fire
Two people were hospitalized following a house fire Tuesday morning in New Hope, police said.
According to the New Hope Police Department, firefighters and police responded shortly before 6:15 a.m. to a report of a house fire in the 8100 block of 38th Ave. N.
Two people were removed from the home, police said. A press release said one of the occupants was taken to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale, while the other was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center in downtown Minneapolis. Both facilities are Level I trauma centers serving the most severely injured patients.
Their condition was unknown as of midday Tuesday.
The West Metro Fire-Rescue District, the joint department serving the cities of New Hope and Crystal, and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal were investigating the cause of the fire.
