Two Hospitalized in Brooklyn Park Apartment Fire
Two people had to be taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation Monday morning due to a fire at a Brooklyn Park apartment complex.
Fire crews responded shortly before 6 a.m. Monday to the Moonraker Apartments, located in the 5500 block of Brookdale Drive N.
Upon arrival, firefighters put out flames in a ground-floor unit.
Fire officials say two adults were rescued “semi-conscious” from that unit and rushed to a nearby hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported.
According to Jeff St. Martin, fire marshal with the Brooklyn Park Fire Department, the fire was quickly contained to the apartment of origin.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation Monday afternoon, said St. Martin.
