Twin Cities Ice Bowl This Weekend At Brookview Golden Valley
This weekend organizers of the Twin Cities Ice Bowl expect as many as 200 participants to play disc golf on two 18-hole courses.
“The city of Golden Valley and Brookview are nice enough to offer the grounds of the golf course, which we convert to two, 18-hole disc golf courses,” explained Charlie Hutchinson, from local company Gotta Go Gotta Throw.
Disc golf is already a part of wintertime fun at Brookview, but this event will offer more than just a tournament.
The event, which also includes a silent auction, raises money for Second Harvest Heartland. Last year, the event raised $1800 and 40 pounds of food. Besides the tournament and auction, there will also be a documentary on disc sports.
