Trillium Woods Senior Living Breaks Ground on $56M Expansion
Trillium Woods senior living community in Plymouth celebrated the groundbreaking of a $56 million expansion project this week.
Described as a “momentous occasion,” the project has been in the works ever since Trillium Woods opened in 2015.
“We are incredibly excited. We are going to be able to serve more people in the Plymouth community in more ways,” said Joe Amend-Marshall, executive director of Trillium Woods.
The expansion includes 52 independent-living units, 18 assisted-living units and 16 memory-care units. The project also adds a new bistro dining hall, complete with wood-fired pizza oven, that can be used by both current and incoming residents.
The demand for the project is seen by the fact that most of the independent-living units have already been spoken for. Of the 52 new independent units, 47 have been sold, said Amend-Marshall.
“Our existing residents are very, very excited to have a lot of new neighbors and they’ve been very welcoming and already trying to make them feel at home here at Trillium,” said Amend-Marshall.
The expansion isn’t just additional homes, but will also create 40 new jobs once completed. Construction is estimated to be finished by fall 2025.
Trillium Woods is owned and managed by Des Moines, Iowa-based Life Care Services.
